Extension and Internal Remodelling to Grade II 16th Century Cottage
Situated in a charming village in west Kent, this 16th-century Grade II listed cottage presented an opportunity to blend historic charm with modern living.
The restoration we delivered respected the property’s heritage while improving functionality and comfort.
The project included a new two-story timber-framed extension built to blend in with the existing house. Brickwork, tile hanging and roofing materials were carefully selected to harmonise with the original cottage. Inside, we reconfigured the first floor to include a bespoke en-suite bathroom and installed a new dining and utility area.
We upgraded essential systems, ensuring the home remains efficient and comfortable for years to come. Working alongside heritage specialists, we overcame the challenge of blending modern updates with original features, such as timber beams and period brickwork.
